It is heartwarming to see Barnes and Noble’s succeeding where others have failed. In this interesting post the author points out how good decisions made at the top really make or break an entire company. This part stood out to me:

Daunt also refused to dumb-down the store offerings. The key challenge, he claimed was to “create an environment that’s intellectually satisfying—and not in a snobbish way, but in the sense of feeding your mind.”
